Y’all.  This post will display my craziness, a horrible picture of me, and show a slightly vain side to my personality.  It is shocking to me that I internalized all of these things months ago.  Again, this blog has made me have no shame!  And, make sure to read to the end where I chat about a GIVEAWAY!  Here we go . . . talking all about SKINCARE!

I am 41 years old.  Hormones have not been my friend over the last decade with my little infertility journey.  I would like to say that that is to blame for my aging skin, but I am going to go with the fact that I am just 41.  I am aging.  And, I am not thrilled about it.  Girls dinner conversations now revolve around which skin care products we are using, and I have a hilarious friend that just pulls out Amazon and buys each product being discussed just to try.  I have been known to do that as well.  And, I saw this meme, and had to post.  I haven’t been in a tanning bed since I was 27, but I am SURE that has something to do with those pesky little wrinkles!

Over the last six months, I have tried some crazy things.  Some I like, some I love, and some just have made for a funny story.  I am NOT an expert AT ALL.  PLEASE SEND ME YOUR TIPS AS WELL.  I LOVE hearing what other people use!

Full disclosure of random things:
*I am a fan of Botox, and have gotten it once or twice a year since I was 38.  I could probably get it more, but I still want to look natural-ish.
*I have done the hydrafacial, but didn’t feel like the results warranted the price and hype.  Maybe I went to the wrong place?
*I have done the IPL/photofacial, and realized that I have too much anxiety to be blindfolded for 45 minutes and have a loud laser hitting my face at random intervals.
*I am obsessed with the dermaplaning.
*I did a Skin pen earlier this year and loved the results.  DID NOT love the down time. I spent days with a crispy, red face, no make up and CeraVe ointment slathered all over my face.  My kids were scared, and Reid was thinking about a move to the guest room.  The results were amazing, but I just don’t have a week to spare hiding out in my house right now.

Here are the FOUR things that I have discovered that I LOVE and will definitely continue to use!

Somaderm HGH Gel.

I LOVE this stuff.  This is the only HGH micro dose gel on the market, and Dallas is going NUTS for it.  Not only is it making my hair and nails grow at a crazy pace, I do think that it is helping my skin.  Somaderm gel is the first FDA registered transdermal HGH over the counter gel.  We stop producing HGH (the human growth hormone) in our early 20s, and this gel helps the body start producing HGH again on its own.  Don’t worry, there is not enough in the gel to make me fail a drug test for the NFL!  Very low dose, AND my body is just so happy to be having HGH moving around in there for the first time in two decades! On a recommendation from a friend that had seen it reviewed on line, I was the guinea pig, and tried it back in the spring.  There are great reviews online about this product, and the magic it produces when used consistently.  While it did offer immediately very smooth skin and an instant glow, it was a WEIRD experience.  Please check out the super amazing picture below.  I took this picture for my friend to show her what it was doing to my face.  My lips don’t usually look like this (I WISH they did!), but the mask literally spent 30 minutes tightening and sucking all of the impurities out of my pores.  You only see this portion of my face because I did not look like myself at all.  I made sure to do it when I was alone in the house for fear of frightening my family.  I even had trouble looking at myself in the mirror.  I really do like this product!  Weird, but effective! My biggest issue on my face are those old lady lines that are starting to appear around my lips.  I am not a fan!
