Friday Favorites
Happy Friday, friends! It is supposed to be 105 in Dallas over the weekend, so I am looking forward to lots of pool time. How else do you survive these Texas summers? I hope that you all have something fun going on for the weekend!
Here is my first Friday Favorites! A fun list of things I have been loving this week. Let me know what you have been loving . . . always up to try new things!
ONE
Reid and I discovered an amazing bottle of wine at a random restaurant off Millennium Park in Chicago. It is a very light rose, and it is so refreshing. I have been a big Miraval fan for a while now, but I think the Beuclers are now on the bandwagon of this wine . . . EspritGassier.
Reid opened his Vivino app, and bought a case right there in the restaurant. We are sharing the case with his dad, so don’t judge me too hard on that one! Ha! On Vivino, the wine was $16.99 a bottle. A GREAT deal. Perfect wine for summer sipping!

Y’all. I think I am lazy. I found this spray lotion at Target, and am obsessed. It is not organic, and I know there are better things out there. But, it is a SPRAY ON LOTION! I get out of the shower, spray it on and it rubs in perfectly and evenly. So easy, smells like the beach, and is so hydrating. I also found this on Amazon for you guys. Click here to order for yourself. Your lazy self will thank me!

I PASSED!!!!! Very quick back story that I can elaborate on one day . . . when Harlan was almost two and we had just miscarried the twin girls, I (as you can imagine) was a total mess. Each time Harlan went down for a nap, I sat on my bathroom floor and cried. For hours. After a few weeks of this, I needed something to dive into. So, in November of 2009, each time Harlan napped, I got online and worked to get my real estate license. I let it go when Jackson was born, but started to revisit it last year. Flipping homes has always sounded so fun to me. Now, I am not planning on trying out for any HGTV show, but it has always been an interest of mine. Early last year, I started to go through getting my license again, and then we found out we were pregnant with Sophie. And, then as you know, the year kind of imploded. So, here I am again. Plodding through the 180 hours of required course work online. In the summer. With kids. It is going slow, but it is going. AND, I passed the third out of six tests I have to take before the big final exam. YEAH! This was late yesterday afternoon, and I poured a fat glass of the wine mentioned above to celebrate. Such a relief. Woohoo!!
FOUR
I got a Glo Pro for Mothers Day, and then got myself some retinol as a little add on gift! Several bloggers that I follow convinced me that this was the best product out there. And, then my beautiful friends on my girls trip to Sonoma were all using the Glo Pro. So, basically, I got peer pressured into asking (read: hinting very strongly) for it for Mothers Day. I used both the Glo Pro and the retinol last night for the FIRST TIME! I am not sure why I waited so long. I woke up this morning, and my face was hilariously red. But, after my early morning walk with Tank, and a good face wash, my face is a normal color and feels very smooth. Not a drastic change from the first use, but I love the texture and am excited to keep on going. I am thinking I can shave off at least 5 years of my face by the end of the summer. Who is with me? I found the retinol that I use on Amazon as well if you want to check it out and read the reviews!
FIVE
This may be my favorite “Friday Favorite”! There are some pretty exciting things coming for the blog. One thing in particular was such a pipe dream when I launched back in March, and now it may be slowly coming together. This is because of you guys! Thank YOU for reading this blog, for sending it to friends and family that may be dealing with infertility and loss. Lots of excitement at Lunchbox Babies, and I can’t wait to share some fun things in the coming months.
My goal was to build a little community while I was myself healing. We are doing that friends. I am loving getting to know some of you. You inspire me with your stories of strength. And, for those that don’t feel strong right now, and may be in the “on your bathroom floor crying” phase. I get it. I would love to pray for you. It will get better!
Happy weekend everyone! Send me your favorites! XO
