Friday Favorites
It’s Friday!!!
And, oh friends, it’s National Cheeseburger Day.
This quote is so true. So, so true.
But, before we get to the absolute ridiculousness of this post and the Beucler obsession with this national holiday, I have to share a new and fun Friday Favorite!
This new podcast!!!!!
First, thanks to the best friend that is always recommending podcasts to me. I never listen to them, but I always make a note to remind myself to do so. That was until she told me last week about the Smartless podcast which is hosted by three of my very favorite actors: Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. This is such a fun podcast to have on while you are driving, walking the dog, doing laundry, whatever. So fun! These guys are all great friends, and each week one of them brings on a surprise guest. The Will Ferrell episode had me laughing out loud. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast if you are looking for a new one. And, I keep finding new reasons to be in my car so that I can listen to another episode. So great, and you can find their podcast here.

Okay . . . back to the yummy stuff . . .
We are cheeseburger connoisseurs over here at the Beucler House. So much so, that Jackson did last year’s Grandparent’s Day project on the Best Cheeseburgers in Dallas. Doing the project was entirely too much fun, and it was a big hit the day it was displayed! I did a post about the project, and you can check that out here.
My kids know their favorite burgers around town, as well as those fast food/road trip burgers.
My favorite is from Hudson House here in Dallas. Lettuce wrapped, double patty with cheese, bacon and avocado. With mayo and ketchup on the side so I can mix and make my own special sauce. SO GOOD. I am currently starving for this.
I would like to leave you with one thing we do in rotation over here. The Beucler Baked Sliders. I just named that myself, thank you. Super easy to make . . .
Beucler Baked Sliders
*Get a package of the pre-made Wagyu sliders at Central Market, or if you aren’t high maintenance like me, then go grab yourself some ground beef and make your own slider-sized patties.
*Spray with EVOO and sprinkle with very little salt.
*Bake at 375 degrees on a cookie sheet for 12-13 minutes.
*Add a 1/4 piece of 2% American cheese on each slider, and then bake another 3 minutes.
*Reid & I like these little nuggets lettuce wrapped, Harlan prefers them on Hawaiian Rolls, and Jackson just goes with the classic wheat slider bun. SO easy, so yummy.
Happy Weekend, y’all! Now, go get yourself a cheeseburger! XO
