I have some fun news that I wanted to share! AND . . . I hope that several of you can join me!

I am SO excited to be a part of Braving Infertility’s 2019 Brave at Heart 5K/10K on Saturday, October 5th!

I am pumped about this for two reasons:

1. I think the sound of running a marathon sounds amazing. My knees, however, disagree with that thought. So, a 5K is the perfect distance and this is the perfect cause!
2. How often do I get to surround myself with men and women that have walked, or are walking, a similar journey to mine? I am so excited to love on some people!

Back in July, I posted about Braving Infertility Together. Such an amazing organization! Braving Infertility Together is a non-profit organization that serves as a resource to the 1 in 8 families who struggle with infertility, as well as their supporters and loved ones. Their mission is to normalize the infertility process by providing experience-based support, encouragement and education to its members.

On Saturday, October 5th, Braving Infertility Together is hosting their 3rd annual 5k/10k/Fun Run! Proceeds from this run will be used to provide personal care and emotional empowerment to women and families in all stages of infertility.

The race is being held bright and early in McKinney, Texas (about 30 minutes north of Dallas!), and I will be there ready to go!

Sarah, the co-founder of Braving Infertility, told me about their Fun Run last year and how amazing it was. And, y’all, I had chills as she told me the details. People winning IVF services, people putting a small flag on a hill in remembrance of a child they miscarried, people loving one another as they walk through a season of infertility and loss.

I am SO honored to be a part of this event, and would love it if any of you would like to join me! My plan is to visit with as many people as I can, plant my flag(s) in remembrance of my football team in Heaven, smile a ton, shed a tear or two, and then run the 5K! Come hang out with me!
